Materials

All our
products are built using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified
timber.

Our planed TGV,
Shiplap and Framing timber is pressure treated with Tanalith-E®.

We use FSC
certified, exterior quality ply board for the floors of our houses.

All hinges,
screws, bolts and other small components are either galvanised or
zinc plated to guard against corrosion.

We use 16 and
19 gauge weld mesh for its strength (never chicken wire).

Most of the
chicken houses have corrugated bitumen roofing for durability and as
part of the ventilation.

We also use a
composite tile for the Potting Shed and Bespoke 4ft Granary
Staddle Stones
Our Staddle Stones are made by a local company and are supplied with all
of our Granary Range of chicken houses. They
provide an essential component of The Granary’s functionality and are very
sturdy, attractive and easy to install.

Our wheels
are extremely robust
with welded steel
construction, removable (R clip), pneumatic tyres and dark green
hamerite finish. Most of the weight of the Poultry Loft is carried
over the wheels making it very easy to relocate even over rough terrain.
